What they should have done is gradually add more 70's and early hit 80's roughly 82-83 into the program wheel. Play 60% of 70's/80's (still mostly 70's) and 40% 60's. Mostly hits from late 67 on up. With exception of Motown and some Beatles or some British invasion.....Kinks, Stones, going back to 64-65.
Just to continue that oldies feel. Keep the same delivery image and present KFRC more towards the "Bay Area'a favorite hits".
Up date the jingles with the same notes and tune of KFRC without mentioning oldies. Just the Bay area's favorite hits without the three ring circus presentation of a whole new era coming. Shift it quietly even though the postees on this board would notice it in 10 minutes.
