Read what the line says: Dixie is doing Morning Show Idol. If you get what I am saying is that Dixie is looking for a co-host to the morning show. Renda is letting Dixie do the chosing of a co-host and I do not blame them at all for letting her do that. CC would never let anyone do that, neither would Cox. It also tells me that Renda is about do some major butt kicking on CC and I think at the same time when this new co-host gets picked a new nighttime jock will be put on to.

Newsflash: Rooster to flip formats in three months. Format: my guess is Spanish since the same thing will proablay happen here like it did in Tampa just a few days ago.

She's probably not actually selecting the person, although she might have some input. Mostly seems like a stunt - one that's worked well in other markets.

Zorio Q Strange post below this one is absolutely correct. The morning show idol deal is a publicity stunt that has worked before, probably on some Clear Channel and Cox stations!

Just because we have streets named San Pablo and San Juan doesn't mean any player is going to turn over 100.000 Watts to Hispanic in Jax! Research the difference between our Hispanic population and that of Tampa/St. Pete.

CC would have a strategy mal-function if they pulled the plug on Rooster now. Miss Gail has had Renda stumbling over what to call the station, to even, it appears, taking their office signs down. I think "baby girl" has a few more tricks up her sleeve. Hold the R.I.P. signs for WROO for a while. They may be as big a joke as the Chicago paper who published the infamous headline in 1948, "Dewey Wins!"

Ok, SOUP, first of all, did anyone ever notice a GATOR country sign out front, because every time I rode by there, there was still the froggy logo on the Renda sign. Lets check that before we hand Miss Gail any credit for anything. Although I agree that CC is not gonna hand the reigns over to the Spanish community. Its just not big enough here to make a difference. But believe me, "baby girl" as you called her, is watching her back.
