99.9 Legends Weekend - Ten Years ago

I just found 2 cassette tapes of my 4 hour stint with Mick Hagerty on WODE-FM's Legends Weekend, back on 9/9/99. We reminisced, talked about the people who gave us our starts, and in general blew the format out the window. Just had to write and let the Lehigh Valley gang know how much I enjoyed my time on the air, and what a great place it was to hone the craft.

Bob,
how are you? i just came across this site and saw your comments on the legends weekend. that was a great time. i can't believe it has been 10 years. wow! it was so much fun and was a highlight in my radio career. jeff did a great job that weekend, as well as everyone else at oldies 99.9. i like it so much, that i went to work for them for 2 years. i miss the oldies and i missed all the guys at waeb. we had some great times. hope all is well.
i have an aircheck of my show and i think i have jeff with guy somewhere on tape as well. we should do it again. i'll have to talk with bill sheridan and plant the seed.

Hey Jim!

It WAS a great time. If sheridan ever wants to do it again, I'm in! Let's see, since we did 9/9/99, and 9/9/09 has passed... do we have to wait for 9/9/19?? I'll be ummm.... *mumble mutter* 66 by then!
Bob

That's young Bob! You'll still have lots of kick left in ya! LOL!

You know, Auntiem1, I guess if Cronkite could last as long as he did, I should probably shoot for 9/9/29! (Now where did I put those damn carts? Over HERE by the Ampeg reel-to-reel machine!)
