Just a guess...

HANK-FM's sister station, Hot 104.9, Cumulus' Star 98.9 and Clear Channel's Magic 107.1 all play a pretty larhe amount of currents. Hank is about as close to getting anything other than the currents as anything in the market.

That said, I worked at WTAL AM 1450 in Tallahassee in the old days, when it was somewhat of a variety music station, although it played 2 currents to every older. I can tell you, back then the ratings for WTAL, a 1,000 watt station, were a great deal higher than what Hank has pulled so far.

I generally like variety stations, but I just don't care for HANK-FM very much. I don't know what's missing there..but something is.<P ID="signature">______________
Proudly remembering the days of the hometown "country giant" radio stations now at
