99.9FM X Rock in Plano/McKinney, TX area

Hello All, I was driving home from work at 12:00AM Saturday Oct. 16, 2010. I heard a new station on 99.9 from Plano, TX area. I was driving north on US 75 in Plano/Allen/McKinney and heard 99.9 X Rock. They were playing alt. rock music and talking. I looked up new stations in Plano, Allen, McKinney....I did not find a new low power station in the area. I guess it is a home made station up and running the area. I thought I post to see if more people hear the station too. I also did not hear a callsign. Talk to all later!!!

Hello All, I have been listening to 99.9FM and the DJ say X FM power of X, Website is xfmlive.com...I looked it up it goes to www.kvxl.com I still looking to transmitter city in Plano, TX or someplace in Collin County. Listen to 99.9FM!!! Talk to all later!!

yeah he's in Plano. He only fires up after midnight on the weekends for a few hours, and plays music. I already found him :p It's not licensed, and is trying to fall under the "part 15" bandplan, although if I had to guess, I'd say he's not quite making it :)

In as much as 99.9 is about the only 'open' place left on our beloved and super short spaced spectrum, that's about the only spot left for folks to 'pop up' on... (but you know that!)

I've had my 1 watter parked on 99.9 since April in 75006. I may be too far, but I'm going to shut down later tonight and see if I can pick this up.
 
It's a pirate. They've also got another 'repeater' in North Dallas south of the High Five somewhere, AND a website...trust me. 'part 15' they ain't (lol)...sounds good, though...they are live...doing weather, current tempt, time checks, 'too hip for the room' music, but hey.......I heard it on Friday night last spring as I was traveling down 75 near Renner, and someone heard it near McKinney...some part 15!

This guy used to be on a while back too.
Ah well, I guess I can share, but I swear he better not be on all the time.
