99 POINT 5 : Now That's A "Classic Number"

You have to remember the allegedly upscale audience WCRB is appealing to. Don't want to be "appalling" to ;)

Classical music listeners don't get fevers :)
They are cold blooded.... ;)

"99.5, 'cause there ain't no 99.6"

Or how about:
"99.5. Why? Because everytihng else was taken."

"WCRB, Turnin' down the power, and the frequency, to 99.5"

"WCRB 99.5... 4% better than 99.1"

"WCRB. Yesterday 102.5. Today, 99.5. Tomorrow, 88.5, and someday, so far off the dial, we'll be on your sideview mirror"

"99.5. Hey, upside down, it's actually 5.66."

"99.5. It's what you'll soon be paying for a gallon of gas."

Should I keep going? I'm here all day folks...

How about this:

A little harder to get at 99.5.......but hey........at least we're still on the air!!
(which is more than can be said for Classical Radio in Detroit, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Miami)

Are you sure it's only 4%? Hypothetical question: If you're driving along in your car with WPLM on, and you fall asleep and get into an accident, who foots the bill?

Isn't K-Mozart 105.1 still on the air in LA?

Latina 99.5

Actually Latina 99.5 makes sense. 99.5 would be the perfect frequency to serve the Hispanic population, as hispanics are Massachusetts largest and fastest growing minority group. 99.5 also touches major Hispanic population centers like Chelsea, Boston, and Lawrence.

I am happy that Classical music survived. But the Latin population needs to be serviced too. Perhaps it's best to change one of the other stations that is currently serving the declining white population of our state.

Uh...Spain and Portugal (mother countries of the Latin American countries) are in Europe. Wouldn't that make Latinos as white as you are?

Actually, I believe Classical Music has an international appeal including Spanish.
There is even a Classical Radio station in TJ Mexico.

I believe 99.5 does broadcast in HD digital. I don't have an HD tuner, but when driving by their Andover tower I seemed to hear plenty of digi-hash noise on either side of their signal on the dial.
