99X and Jimmy Baron

If Jimmy Baron isn’t coming back on the air on 99X, then I wonder why they mentioned him the last two mornings. Something like, “99X, with Axel and Leslie, Jimmy’s out today…”

Not that I give a rat’s behind about 99X (it sucks) or Jimmy Baron (although not letting him sign off on-air after 13 years was really crappy, when that tool Steve Barnes and relative short-timer Toucher each got a Grand Farewell), but if he’s gone, then why not just drop his name from the show entirely?

The irony that Leslie Fram is still employed, much less on the air, is not lost on me.

Rodney's comments were that negotiations were still on-going so maybe management is still hopeful they can bring him back.

Dude! We are all radio dorks, let's admit it. And hopefully we work in the business or we're massive dorks... so it's our job to monitor other radio stations, even when they suck. Plus, 99X didn't used to suck, it just does now. Also, there is something to be said for listening to train wreck. I like the sound of the impact. I know you weren't talking to me, but don't take offense to someone offering their opinion on an opinionated radio board. 99X will get better soon, once they flip to YeeHaw! 99.
