Anybody listening to 99x.com?

The music mix is still pretty refreshing compared to much of what's available over the air, and it's heavenly to hear the old 99X imaging again (I know, it's only been a few weeks).

Jillian though . . .

It's like she made a New Year's resolution that "I wanna be a DJ," and I mean this past New Year's. There have been more "um's" than an entire college radio station.

That's a bit harsh, but a way to really tell where Cumulus is taking this "visual station" is to see what kind of talent they use.

At least they have an actual request line, though I haven't called it yet.
 
One more thought - - do the HD channels have to meet FCC standards for language etc?

It would be nice to hear 99x.com uncensored, but all songs are still edited, and I am assuming this is for the HD channel.

Word in the building is that Jillian got the gig as a result of being "friends" with one of the Dickeys. Gee, hard to imagine.

I, ummm, take offense, ummmm, to your, like, criticism, of ummmm, college DJs.

You can sum up college radio in five words: "Dead air, umm, dead air."
 
okay...I'm listening now.....have heard Jillian (I'm calling her JILL-IOT from now on) and, yes, she does suck. But I wouldn't put her in the college radio category, yet...she needs to work her way up.

WTF? She's talking about pogs????

There's nothing wrong with getting a job because you know someone as long as you have the ability and talent to do whatever job that is. But when you get a job for which you're completely unqualified simply based on knowing someone, that's where I have a problem.
 
wooder u r so right. she should be selling shoes not on the air.
2 bad no 1 asked the cumlus guys about her at manuels. u know in between shots and massages ;D
 
The old 99X website was great, they really should have left it alone and just added to it. Its very apparent this website is not high on their priorities. If you check under the appearances tab today, it has only 1 mentioned- the movie fest that happend last weekend.
 
Wow....haven't seen his name(s) mentioned in a while. That's one name you don't ever see in those "What ever happend to...?" threads. I wonder what ever became of him? (let the snark begin)
 
So based on reading this thread, I tuned into 99x.com yesterday, and I would just like to concur with the Jillian bashers. She's the worst DJ I've ever heard (though, I never did hear Ben/Roach on the air).

theres no content, half the links dont work and the main page still says the same thing/ did u know tix 4 bonaroo go on sale feb 16? is there anybody in the buildng with a pulse updating this website ever.

jillots still there thats a f***n joke. and the stupid ass blogs omg. rob hamlton is blogging about the f*ng iphone. who gives a sh*t. stop blogging and get the website going. upload videos, interviews at least everythng the old site had but u better put up a hell of lot more if this is sposed to be visual radio. u got stuff on youtube. LINK IT. this looks like a site put together by a group of 5th graders, channel 2s tornado tracker is cooler 2 look at than 99x.com.

and the colors look like its 4 girls. or gay guys. or both. mybe that works for q100 but the blue starburst looks like my gfs tampon box.
this week i got a freeloader email some1 must still have a job there.theonly good thing i can say about this site is the music. kinda a catch22 for cumulus tho. i dont have hd radio so im stuck at computer more than usual. means i got more time to post how much cumlus SUX.
cmon owners either admit u killed 99x and take the heat or do something kick ass with this site.
99x deserved better and so did the listners.

I just checked out the site.....I don't get it....what's wrong with it??
And what 's wrong with the person on the air now?? She sounds OK to me.....
I really don't understand about the colors - are you saying I'm gay if I like them? That'll be welcome news to my wife......
Lot's to complain about in radio today.....the 99X website is just waaaay down on the list IMHO.
