99X - Everything Alternative

I skipped on over to 99x.com and noticed that they are now saying 99x - Everything Alternative at least on the graphics and on the site.. are they getting rid of the New Rock and 90's Alternative line?

Checking out this weeks' "Reality Check" contestant, were ya? Good call!!

It does really encompass thier philosophy, but in fewer words. "New Rock And 90's Alternative" is a lot longer than "Everything Alternative"

I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing that on the air more often. <P ID="signature">______________

I just heard Matt Jones use it. Perhaps they're using music midtown as the ocassion to roll it out.

Rodney - do your magic? Have there been any significant music policy changes? I know I'll be watching for them...

Answer is very simple

I hear they simply thought the "New rock and 90s alternative" line was too long and unwieldy and "everything alternative" was simpler. No short-term plan to shift the music mix, which is currently 50/50 current-recurrent vs. gold. The gold remains heavily 1992-96 with virtually nothing from the 1999-2002 Limp Bizkit nu metal era.
