99x HD 2 Keeps Going On And Off

The Dickey's couldn't even afford to wrap a van for Rock 100.5 for the first 2 months the station existed...and you expect them to pay a power bill for a station that 5 people are listening to? HA!!!
 
Sounds like you didn't have a good lock on the digital signal. There were no problems on the transmit end that I'm aware of, and I listened off and on several times Friday evening without any problem.
 
yeah that explains it. im out in carrollton . hd radio is not good here
 
If you were using a home HD receiver, you might find improvement in using a different type of antenna, especially an outdoor directional antenna. Even good indoor antennas available at many retailers provide much better performance than the typical wire antennas included with these units.

Receiver sensitivity is also another issue. I've noticed much better sensitivity from the Sangean and Accurian (Radio Shack) models than I have the Boston Acoustics. Of course, that's another topic within itself, which I'm sure has been discussed in the HD Radio board here.

Out of curiosity, and if you don't mind me asking, what radio are you using and what type of antenna?
 
vr3 hdradio i bought from target . its a reciever and the cable goes into your regular cd car stereo which is a sony xplod. the antenna i really dont know what kind it is. i have a honda accord 99 that the antenna is built into the back seat under the trunk.
