99x morning crowd

Speaking of Morning shows, has anyone checked out the new morning crew on 99x. I am not being negative just to be negative but they are very hard to listen to. They are just not interesting. The music is good but the banter is weak.

I think there have been a couple of topics about this recently.

Sorry, I have a life and I don't live on this board like I guess you do.

I have been having personal problems in my life lately and maybe I am a little sensitive, but your comment was over the line and demeaning to me. I am ok now. When I first read it I must admit that I blew up. Thanks for your comment pointing out that it was a joke. Thanks a lot. I hope in the future we can be buddies and look back at this and laugh.

Ya know, for Scum, you're not so bad! ;D It's all good, dude.

In response to your original inquiry, I tend to agree. I like Sean Demery a lot, but the show overall is difficult to listen to. I gave it a fair chance (two or three weeks), but just can't get in to it.

I'm sure a lot of people like it, but it's just not my thing. It's cool, though...I'm still getting my $13 a month worth of XM in the morning. ;)

I love how Jenners basically said that all Atlantans are a-holes. Good way to break in a new city, bud.

Welcome to Atlanta! Now, go back home.

Being a fan of Sean, I'm rather enjoying the new morning show, and its definatly showing more polish over the course of time.

The show just seems flat, no highs, no lows. If the RG's hadnt imploded I'd venture to say that Sean's show was going to fail. Now? I don't know. Does the 96 Rock crowd go there? I don't see that. The Buzz crowd, do they go over there to hear milquetoast? I can see them stealing from the River, Bert, and Steve and Vikki with the type of show they're doing. But what do I know?

I'm enjoying the show. I actually laughed out loud to the bit this morning when they had the guy fall out of his wheelchair...

During the first few weeks I thought *YAWN*, but it seems to me that they're starting to mesh really well..

As far as numbers go, they'll take listeners who want a Morning show to listen to, while dave and The River will keep those listeners who prefer music intensive mornings...

Always good to have options.

Dave will not just do a more-music show. Rick Caffey is too smart and CBS believes in personalities. Plus, he's got to know that's a failing proposition (as The River will eventually find out). Remember, he's the same guy who knew that bringing Ryan Cameron back - even though it cost them a fortune - was a good investment, and it does seem to be paying off. They're probably re-grouping from the Barnes mistake while they decide who to put in mornings, especially now that there's virtually no competition in the rock arena. We can all agree the New Morning X is vulnerable to anything decent. Any other ideas who Dave should hire?

Actually, I like hearing Orfffffff in the mornings on Dave. He's got a good voice, he has talent, and I think he's a good balance for Holly. Maybe give him a bit more room to grow in that shift or at least keep him on as a major player with the morning show.

I don't believe that the morning drive slot on a major station in the nation's 9th largest radio market is where a young dj should "grow into". Axel, for example, is a very talented jock with years of experience and we all saw how well "growing into the daypart" worked for him...although I do think he would have had a better chance with a better partner. Anyone have any suggestions for established talent that would work well on Dave in the morning?
