99x Morning Show Changes coming soon

Also from Mr. Ho besides he Jamie Massey update is the tidbit at the end about a revamped morning show coming soon to 99x. Anyone want to speculate on the revamped show?I hear that Jamie Massey (best known doing morning traffic on Star 94) is returning to Q100 after being laid off a month ago. Instead of pow-wowing daily with Dylan in the afternoons, she’ll be focused on traffic mornings and afternoons at Q100 and 99X. That’s a lot of work and does mean taking a nap in between but she’s a vibrant personality and it’s great Cumulus, the new owners, were able to find a place for her. Mitch Evans, who has been the substitute sporst guy the last few months on the various incarnations of the 99X morning show, will be off after this week but might be back in a few weeks when 99X is expected to bring in a full-fledged revamped morning show.

The usual plan at this time has been to hire some smarmy middle age overweight pasty white guys to add a little edginess and appeal to the younger listeners. Since the supply of middle age white guys who try to act sassy has gone to Boston or the Buzz, they might have to import some.

Because (my guess is) Leslie might have a say, but Roberts being the OM would have the control on staffing issues (read, hire/fire).

Rob Roberts is the new operations manager for 99X/Q100. He started May 8. He came from Clear Channel's Y100 in Miami, where he was PD for 10 years.

Bitter about anything? Luckily Bert has some melanin in his genetic makeup and works out and we'd have "Barbie" saying all the top 40's are dominated by the same. Yes, it's a plan to keep radio white Barb. Dead on.
