99x TJL AWOL for MLK?

Driving to work this morning, nothing on 99x but the music -- are TJL just taking a day off for the holiday?

It's just odd, because usually during holidays, they run a "Regifted Show" with Wally or FatKid hosting, but today, we didn't even get that. Curious...
 
Fat Kid got fired on Friday, so maybe they didn't have anyone to host a regifted.

Maybe 105.3 The Buzz could pick them up for mornings. Yeah ... 'Crash & Fat Kid' mornings on 105.3 The Buzz. Think about it. Of course, Crash on 105.3 might give new meaning to 'The Buzz' ... at least put it in past ... present ... and future tense ... Buzzed.

I'm sorry if you felt my post to be "stupid" -- but perhaps you didn't understand the context.

See, 99x has a new owner, and so when all the DJs on their only-moderately successful and often controversial morning show disappear all at once, with no warning, it's not a huge leap of logic to wonder if someone may have pulled the plug. So, I posted here for news, if any, on the status of the show.

Yeah. Totally "stupid".

Hope that clears up any confusion -- now you go out and have a super day, you bullying ass.

No doubt...and maybe I wasn't clear as to why I thought the initial question was dumb.

See, MLK day is a second or third tier holiday. Doing a regifting on that day makes no sense. To the vast majority of people, it's another work day.

Ideas used on major holidays (like Christmas) don't always work on the lesser known & lesser observed ones.

What you're all saying makes sense, but as goofy as it sounds, the arbor day thing wouldn't be so far off for this station. 99x "regifts" at the drop of a hat. They'll regift if a couple of the DJs are sick on a random Tuesday -- it's not just a Christmas, major holiday thing.

The only thing that's dumb is your convoluted line of thinking. The Friday before MLK was also just another work day, and they did a "regifted episode" then. With the exception of of major holidays - or more correctly holiday (Christmas)- 99x plays a regifted morning show when not airing a live one. I also tuned in on MLK day and was surprised to hear they were playing music only.
