I'll answer this question first by saying, I'm answering as a former NEB employee. Steven should not own radio stations. He should stick with the cows he has on his ranch and call it a day. He has no clue how to manage people, at all, and cuts any $ corner he can. Bob Rowe is somebody who probably knew what he was doing once upon a time. He never grew with the industry. He's an overly corny, Ned Flanders, sort of person. He's a backstabber who gives false promises, not only to his staff, but to his CLIENTS. He is impossible to trust, and a truly bad person, period. It amazes me that NEB has lasted as long as it has. Call it luck, call it whatever you want. I know its because a select few people who work there truly care about the property they work for and work their asses off the make it work. Not for the money, not to please management, and certainly not because they have great managers. They work their asses off because they take great pride in their work, and in many cases, take great pride in a heritage radio station like The Point, or because they want to be part of a baby like Alice or MP. People like John Hosford who would go to the ends of the earth to keep a station alive. People like Scott McKenzie, who I wasn't a major fan of, but who would work 15 hour days just to try to keep Alice alive. Unsung hero's in Middlebury and St. Albans who worked to keep small community AM radio going, only to lose their jobs when cost cutting meant ESPN Radio. I've said it on this board several times. NEB = Amazing People, Awful Management
