A basement full of old gear

I know where there is a radio station in Roanoke, VA with a big pile of surplus gear they'd like to get rid of. I have pictures and descriptions...

Hit me up with the info thx I am looking for equipment for a community radio station

Anybody know of any other radio stations looking to get rid of old euqipment

I would attach a list of what is there, here, but apparently this board doesn't have that function(!)
(Goes back to reading PM's...)

Again, it has been tested and the PM function is functioning!
Everything from Ampex 600 and 601's to STL's to really old gear....

Finally! I have a list!! And my name is fixed!

Information on the goodies in the WKBA basement!

MARTI PCL-303 transmitter and receiver. Working when removed from service. Clean, no covers. Tuned to 948mhz.

MARTI STL-8 and R-200 transmitter and receiver, complete. WWRFS. Tuned to 951mhz.

Ampex 601 full-track recorder. Missing head cover. Has reel locks and cover. No power cord. High mileage but solid.

Ampex 600 Two pieces. One has a cover and one reel lock. No power cords. Need some TLC.

Modulation Sciences TV Sidekick TSCA-189. Good for that SAP channel, or as a processor. Clean.

Tascam PE-20 four channel, three band parametric equalizer. WWRFS. Looks good.

Shure M-67 and M675 mixer and Production Master. Good condition. Manuals available as a free download from Shure. Both in good condition. (Valuable)

McMartin LX-40A Mixer-preamp. Looks very good, condition unknown.

BE 2100 series cart playback deck. Missing ‘Sec’ button. Condition unknown. Mono?

Telex MC-II series cart decks. Four playback and one record, all mono. Condition unknown. With manual.

Raytheon RR-30 Remote mixer w/power supply. Old! Cosmetically poor, one incorrect knob. Should restore well. (Valuable)

Daven 6C Transmission set. A level measuring device, quite old. Passive, does not need AC or battery power. Looks good, should clean up well. (Valuable?)

EICO 320 Signal generator. Rusty, but all there except for its probes.

EICO 950B R-C Bridge with tuning eye. Quite rusty but otherwise complete.

National SSR-11 rectifiers. Three NIB, two good used.

National SSR-15 rectifiers. Two NIB.

ReVox A-77 reel-to-reel recorders. One in good shape w/power cord, one more suited for parts.

Tapecaster cart playback decks. Two, condition unknown. Mono.

6528A tubes. Two military-spec Richardson NIB, Seven NIB Cetron brand.
(These are scarce and valuable!)

Two small paraflector antennas, manufacturer unknown. Look to be in good condition.

Kwco chickasha has an older board and a tube type fm tranmitter 3k I think and some other stuff. Their main number is 405.224.1560. Ask for matt.

Several "Tire kickers" but nobody has gone further. You'd be suprised how inexpensively this stuff could go for...

The Raytheon and Daven have new homes in Texas. The ReVoxes in Connecticut. Everything else is still for sale. All offers will be seriously considered. Seems a shame that some of this stuff can't find new homes and uses...

The Raytheon now looks beautiful and the Daven will too, in due time. The Daven test set will be installed in our TV Mobile unit restoration project, a 1949 DuMont Telecruiser. www.telecruiser.com It will look great in the rack.

HA! You mean so your can use the equipment to amp your dirty pirate FM signal around Houston? Or so you can kick the equipment when you can't figure out how it works and bust it up just like you did with that Comet antenna because you couldn't figure out how to tune it.? Yeah Brian I see how you are!? :p

I think I might know of a good home for the Marti gear and/or the paraflectors. PM me if they're still around (I'd PM you, but it seems that I am unable - getting a 404 whenever I try).

And I have emailed you at the address given on your profile page and received no response... ???
Mine is now visible on my profile page.

The Ampex's (three) are still avaliable. For some reason, I never received Rikard's email.
All are full-track (I believe) and the two newer ones have two speeds. The McMartin mixer is still avaliable. That would make a great remote or mic mixer. The STL gear is also still avaliable. I know the older transmitter is not type-approved any more in the US, but it could be modified, I'm told, to make it OK. The receiver should be OK. All is FOB Roanoke, VA.

The Telex cart machines. Who would want them? They might make lovely planters...

Pictures are avaliable of all remaining gear.

Bump. All the above is still avaliable.
