Greetings....Let the beatings begin.
MY COMMENT: First of all, thanks for all the comments on my work. Considering that everything I have ever read here about WGST has been atrociously negative, it's nice to be considered equal to the pros I've been working with for the last 4 days.
MY CHALLENGE: For the rest of this thread, limit yourself to only the good things you have heard on WGST. Here....I'll start: Art "Madman" Mehring is a hoot! Jennifer Perry and Susan King, are superb Radio News Anchors. The station's imaging is first-rate. And, I've worked for Randall Bloomquist at two stations now, and they both sounded superb....See? That's not so tough.
MY COMMENT: Regarding the guy who called me a "blowhard"....First off, want to compare resumes? Of course, that will mean that you'll have to step out from behind that coward's cloak of an alias you wear....Which would actually be good! Because if I was rude enough for you to carry a torch about it from another market....FOR YEARS, you either deserve one hell of an apology....or some serious mental health screening. (I'm betting the latter....In fact, because of your alias, I'll also bet that you were some kind of poser, who's malarky I called you on.)
MY CHALLENGE: Hey alias kings....Tell us who you are, step into the light, and reap what you sow like men. (Can't do it, can you? No stones. Pity.) Look at it this way....If we all know who you are, maybe Randall will call one of YOU All-Star Broadcaster to fill in next time! That way, all us Talk Hacks you beat on every day, (who are actually working) will have a chance to learn something from the masters of the art!
MY COMMENT: In my first 4-day assignment on WGST, I spent 12 hours on the air. We discussed 12 topics, and helped WGST cover breaking news on the North Korean Missile Crisis. We took 84 callers. Since there about 20 minutes per hour of news, and spots, that works out to 8 total hours of Talk Radio programming with 10.4 calls per hour. For a Talk Show Host who's been on the air in Atlanta a total of 6 times since 1989....That doesn't seem to be so bad. (Especially since you geniuses can't even figure out if I was actually in town or not....Jeeze!)
MY CHALLENGE: Tell us all about the caller stats on your last 12 Talk topics.
In short, boys and girls....(girls in boy's bodies more likely)....Ask yourself privately if you really have any clue about what your talking about, and if you do....prove it. Publicly.
I'm waiting.
