A Canton connection

I happened to have WCCR-AM 1260 on when the program "The Doctor Is In" began. The show comes from Canton, Ohio and they mentioned, during the start of the show, that Mother Angelica, the founder of EWTN, was also from Canton, Ohio. That I did not know.

True...

She was actually an interesting person to read up on. (I am not Catholic, but watch EWTN partially due to her influence.) I never realized how determined of a person she had to be. It kind of reflects the "Never give up" mantra.

I do wish EWTN was an over-the-air channel.

Fun Fact - She was a Canton McKinley High School graduate. (1941)
