A change for the better ...

I'm starting a new thread instead of replying to THIS THREAD because the title is no longer relevant, at least in the case of Alice Stockton Rossini.

In the above thread I criticized Rossini for her silly, groan-worthy news reports back in 2013 that should have been an embarrassment to WOR and other stations on which they appeared. This was the same kind of schtick that I believe helped sink Merlin's attempt at FM news that she was also a part of.

Well, I don't listen to WOR anymore but recently I've been hearing her reports on WNYM and guess what? They're good! She sounds like a normal, thinking human being and a competent news reporter. She often comes at stories from a unique angle, which is good, but she doesn't sound like she's trying to do stand-up anymore.

Kudos, Alice Stockton Rossini! Credit where credit is due.

I'm not familiar with the news reporter you are referring to but kudos to you for taking the time to commend someone you previously found lacking. It's nice to see someone... anyone... in radio congratulated at a time when half the posts hear talk about the imminent death of our medium.

It's Salem. She's probably just putting the kind of spin on things he wants to hear now.
