A Christmas vacation move?

See post #10.

You want ANY live local person? Is the 20-something PT board op someone you want to listen to? Talking about his interests? Really?
Good chance that whether it's the 20 something or the regular guy [or irregular if he hadn't eaten his bran flakes] that few people are listening at this time of the year anyways because there's so much other stuff going on.

I would be interested to see the detailed PPM data for this and next week (in any market in any format) to see how much regular listening patterns are down and if cume is down or just different,. Is this a week you pick up random meters that normally never have exposure? I also have no idea how much detailed info subscribers can see on Tapscan, but can you see where any of your meter holders may have traveled?

But when you take a popular and critical daypart that has been live and local forever and replace it with a nationally syndicated show -- even for a week ‐‐ and there is not much backlash by your average listener, there is a good chance that the suits and bean counters will use it as an excuse to do away with the local show entirely and permanently.

Let's revisit this in January 2027, and see who Cleveland is waking up to on WTAM then... i don't foresee Wills and Snyder on the schedule anymore, unless Snyder is still doing some work with the Cavs or Guards.
The first hour (10 a.m.) of the Glenn Beck show was on WTAM today. It's been like that all since the past week (even with a morning local fill-in host). Why not just let the guy go til 10 like before? It doesn't sound good for WTAM. :(

Today, 12/22/25, during morning drive, WTAM aired "This Morning, America's First News with Gordon Deal", at least during the half hour I listened between 7:05 and 7:20 AM. It's a national show that runs on other stations, including WHLO in Akron and was used on the former AM930 WEOL in Elyria.
It was just a program which was continued from its normal airtime because WTAM has very little live talent left to fill in for Wills with his 8-10 weeks of annual vacation. The Gordon Deal show airs everyday from 5-6 AM . It just shows how pathetic WTAM has become.

Still no Wills on WTAM this morning. Apparently off for another week.
Every year the morning and afternoon drive talent is off on vacation for the last two weeks of the year. Nothing out of the ordinary. Maniloff who is the work horse of the station is the only live talent I have heard in the last couple weeks. I would expect things back to normal on Jan 5.

That's fine. But they should have a live, local host like Brad Sussman to fill in for some of that time period. Perhaps Brad was unavailable this time.
