A Couple Awkward Radio Station Music Notations

I heard "What It Takes" on the radio last night; on WROR. While they do play other Aerosmith songs, that one was quite out of place for the station.

Kiss 108 played "Wishing On A Star" today like they always do, except for today, they played it 10 minutes after Noon as opposed to top of the hour.

Mike-FM's pitching is much more noticeable now, and annoying.

They've done that the last few weeks. They probably voicetrack that 3 AM - 9 AM shift, and Costa's countdown is probably in the can as well. Since there's no one there to drop songs if they run late, it pushes the whole day back.

But why worry about heritage when you can throw together a tracked shift? It's only Boston. Nobody's listening.
______________

Whether or not the countdown is in the can or not, it's a countdown... you can't just drop songs out of a countdown...

But they through in a couple of extra "non charted" tracks too though.

No, but you can drop songs from that preceding airshift. Seriously, how hard is it to check the runtime on a block of automated programming? I'm sure their software displays it. Maybe a lot of people at Kiss don't care about their jobs anymore because they've been so successful for so long.
______________

Maybe Rose Royce was having a late brunch today...

I've never used Prophet, but most automation systems have some sort of time-sync function that will dump unplayed events at a certain time. Is Kiss voicetracked (outside of the countdown show)?

Yes they are. They use regular daypart jocks to voicetrack weekend overnight shifts. During the week, Chris Shine and Ed McMann track as well.
______________
