A couple of "JACK" rumors have now surfaced....

....In two more markets:

Milwaukee, where WMYX is playing "Whatever they want" in the evenings and all weekend long. But this also comes on the heels of Saga mulling the possibility of dropping WFMR's Classical format and WLUM possibly ditching Modern to jump on the Variety hits bandwagon.

New Orleans, where word from the Cresent City is that a station in the Arbitron 'top 10' has already planned their exit from their current format to start playing "Anything" they want.

Stay tuned....

I'm still suprised that the JACK format has not made it's way to the Lubbock TX market yet.

Perhaps this will be the week?

It would be a bad move for Saga to switch WFMR to Variety Hits in Milwaukee. The Saga Classic Hits station WKLH is already suffering from new competitor, 80s based classic rock the Brew WQBW. The last thing WKLH needs is a sister station to go Jack.

On the other hand, Variety Hits could be a good option for either WMYX or the always low rated WLUM.
