A couple of minor XenForo issues

Nothing urgent here, just a couple of minor issues that I think would make things easier... if they can be implemented.

1. Page issues: is it possible to display the last 20 message in a forum instead of the current page? This is mostly an issue when a new page has just been started. If the latest post in a thread is #21, it would be nice to see the previous posts without having to go to the previous page.

2. Deleting a post: How many of us (myself included!) have posted something and then wanted to delete it?

Thanks.

Item 2 is a forum configuration setting that the administration has chosen to not activate. I'm on other Xenforo forums with this setting enabled.

I don't follow what you're asking. Where are you clicking? If you click on the post title it goes to the beginning, if you click on the time on the right it goes to the most recent. Nor do I see any setting to configure what you ask.

Report it to us to look at and approve. If activated you would see people either deleting or completely changing the text of what they wrote, which goes against the purpose of a discussion board. If you don't stand by what you post, it shouldn't have been posted to begin with.

Yes, I know about going to the latest message. But let's say we have a thread with 42 messages. With 20 messages per page, we have page 1 (#1-20), page 2 (#21-40) and page 3 (#41 and 42.) If I go to the newest messages, I would only see the last 2. Is there no way to make it display say, #23-42? Sometimes it's helpful to see more messages, especially when the newest page only has a couple of messages on it.

Fair enough. I agree about standing by your post, but this was more for the occasional mistake, usually responding to the wrong post. Anyway I had this "D'oh!!" moment when I realized ... so THIS is why you would want to report your own post! :D

This is not possible in the software.
