A crazy idea

If Rock100.5 flips to something else, then expect River to get a ratings bump and the folks at Cox to breathe easier with the end of the Rock-River "two men enter, one man leaves" cage death match. Cox IMO has been doing a dynamite job programming River; Cumulus and Rock100.5, not so much.

Whither then TRG? Would Cox pick up TRG and put them on in the mornings, now that Kaedy is out of AM drive? Heck, could Cumulus give Cox TRG to get Cox to STHU about the 98.9 translator? Could Cumulus offer to "kill the baby" and take AOR off of 100.5 for the same reason? Of course, Cox might have a new (format, not signal) problem with an upgraded Journey, although B98.5 has been moving out of Journey's format space lately.

I can't see Cumulus making another home for them, except in some sort of split morning show arrangement with 680 (which keeps Rude) and an FM to be named later that has TRG and simuls 680 the rest of the time.

This might come about but, I doubt if any of the "deals" are made public. CC and or CBS most likely would go to the FCC with some kind of claim.
