I have no affiliation with this group.
Once again Flipper you make a lame attempt at pontificating.
You speak for whom again?
Check with your man crush Glenn.
Now you're making false assumptions. I simply pointed out that the article is a puff piece without a lot of substantive facts to put the subject matter in context. I have made similar posts in the past regarding the LA Times and KCSN and I like KCSN very much. But I call them as I see them, whether I like the station or not.
In this case, I have never heard of these people, nor most likely have most others on this board that is dedicated to local radio. The fact of the matter is, online and podcasts are the outposts of the broadcasting world with little relevance to what is actually going on in real radio. As a comparison example, I give you Tom Leykis. Tom has podcast followers, but has to grovel for funding and cannot get a sniff of an LA airwave, regardless of how important he thinks he is.
By putting the link to their website in addition to the article, you display the fact that you would like us to know even more about a product you presumably like. That is fine. Its also advocacy. That's fine too. Just don't deny it when you do it.
As to your last question, I speak for my favorite stations, always in an unpaid capacity, but always up front about it (particularly since most are not around any more)
KMET
KROQ (Pre 2000)
KLOS
KMPC-FM/KEDG
KQLZ
KMPC (Station of the stars and sports formats)
KFI (all versions)
KSCA (AAA) Version
KKGO (Jazz version)
Indie 103.1
The Mighty 690
There are others, but you get the idea.
