A Discussion Only Radio Geeks Would Love

Howard Stern & crew were discussing early today the signal range of K-Rock. I missed the beginning but would guess Howard was out on Long Island & couldn't pick it up, then kept trying driving home until he could pick the station up, which led to a discussion of the WXRK signal map and where each person on the show loses the signal in Connecticut (Gary, 10 miles out)& New Jersey (Robin).

This was one of those "inside" discussions that first made the show unique.
It may be hard to remember now, but in the early '80's before Stern you never heard on the air anything about a radio show producer, much less hear them talk on the air. Now every person at every station is part of the morning on-air team. Once in a while they still get into these "insider" topics.
