A Few Questions I Had...

I was in Montgomery on Tuesday and was wondering the following:

Why two frequencies for WAY FM. It seems that 91.5 came in louder than 91.9
Is WKXN still on at 107.9. I didn't hear them today. Instead I heard WJAM from Orrville/Selma.

For the one that spoke of their favorite radio stations and to the responder of that post, WMJJ is still on at 107.1 in Montgomery. Heard them loud and clear on my car radio.

I could also pick up most of the Selma FM stations, except for AFR and could pick up a Rock rimshot from Tallassee (99.9) and a Classic Country rimshot from Luverne. (100.3)

WAY FM is on two translators because they cover slightly different areas. 91.9 is easier to listen to over here on the east side of town. 91.5 carries further west it seems. They definitely lap over each other in the middle for much of Montgomery.

Where are those two translators located in Montgomery? Every time I drive through there, I don't ever hear them. Do both of them cover most of Montgomery?

I've been telling my wife for years that Montgomery is in need of a CCM station. Just about all the other Christian formats are on the air in Montgomery: black gospel on WHLW, southern gospel on WMGY, and a mixture of music/teaching programs on WLBF. I never understood why 96.1 never filled the CCM void there instead of all the endless formats they've attempted over the years.

BTW, welcome back to the board. :)
