A few XM roady questions

Does anyone else have a problem with the roady 2, the power jack does not stay connected, when you hit bumps or move the unit it goes off, then comes back on. You have keep pushing the plug in jack. Also, I noticed the stereo effect on most XM signals, mostly oldies, are flat, no separation, on cable, MC and DMX have a better stereo separation and sound than XM. Last but not least, there is a headphone jack on the unit, when you plug headphones in, the car radio shuts down, a neat feature, I was wondering if you can find an AC adapter, you could use the set anywhere you can find a elctrical outlet, just plug it in and use the headphones, although there is no volumn control.

You could proabably buy an AC adaptor on eBay or something, or use the one from the home kit. There is a volume control, it's in the menu, but if you plan on using headphones, get a pair with a volume control built into the headphone chord.

The problem I have with my Roady 2 and it seems to be getting worse is that it takes for ever to power up when shut down? Sometimes as long as 30 minutes before it connects? Anyone else with this issue?

Nock

I am currently using a cheapo Universal AC adapter (4.99 at Big Lots) with my Roady 2. That plus a cheap headphone-to-RCA adapter= Instant home kit!

I also MacGyver-ed a thrift store boom-box (tapped into it's power supply) to power my Roady 2 for portable use.
