A First When DX'ing!

Well, there’s a first for everything … outside DXing and my iPhone XSMax locked up while trying to access a stream.

And I’m my furious attempt to unlock it, I somehow dialed 911 and they called me back…. So I had to then call them back and explain

How embarrassing but believe it or not, this is the first time in my life I’ve ever dialed 911 by accident.

At least I know the system in my small community works!

Someone at my office once accidentally faxed 911. They were trying to fax an international number, so they meant to type in 9 (to get an outside line) + 011 (international calling code) + the number, but missed the zero.

We used to tease this gal at work about her belief that Guns & Roses were two different bands on the same concert ticket, and that she once had to ask someone there what the phone number was for 911.
I DID actually turn in just one fire alarm my whole life. Legitimately, too! That was after driving along the Wantagh State Parkway with the car radio blasting the usual L.I. South Shore DX. Brush fires don't need the radio muted for detection.
