It's the NEW Z97-point-1, SMOOTH JACK!

Typical hour:

Kenny G - "Songbird"
Sevendust - "Enemy"
Mahalia Jackson - "Go Tell It on the Mountain"
Boston - "Smokin'"
Carrie Underwood - "Before He Cheats"
Newcleus- "Jam On It"
Metallica - "Stone Cold Crazy"
Barbra Streisand - "Evergreen"
Flatt and Scruggs - "Ballad of Jed Clampett"
Bobby Goldsboro - "Honey"
Avenged Sevenfold - "Bat Country"
Kirk Franklin and the Family - "Lose My Soul"
The Flying Burrito Bros - "White Line Fever"
Boyz 2 Men - "Motownphilly"
Beatles - "I Am the Walrus"

Then :15 of news every hour, with a fully-staffed newsroom. Fast Eddie Coyle takes mornings, Boobie Bondage on mid-days, Tempie Lindsey on afternoon drive, and Bill Kinder on nights. Jennifer "Pebbles" Mary does the overnight "Quiet Z-Storm." Dan Potter and Steve Cumming handle news, and Ben Laurie on traffic.

But.... but Mike.....?

WHERE'S LAST SONG?

WHERE'S I'M NOT LISA?

And what about Manilow, Carpenters, Orlando & Dawn, C&T and all those other wonderful artists CONsultants tell us don't test well?

"A B C... easy as 1 2 3....... or simple as... do re mi"

Oh, and POLKA!!!!! This market NEEDS a POLKA station!

Nice try, but does this Smooth Jack format test well for PPM rates? I mean, come on. We need to give a shout out for the advertisers (ranging from auto salve, feminine products, fast food, booze and of course, diapers.) ;D

Nice, nice playlist though. I am in!

Works for me, as long as you put Daddy Dew Drop's "Chick-a-Boom" in a lunar rotation! Maybe a simulcast on 11~90 would take care of the 2,100 people still listening on AM.

That's an awful lot of music for a talk format....

OK, a solution for that...we'll bring in Jim White (Clyde White) to resurrect the old "Relationships" talk show that used to run 2PM-5PM on KEGL during 1981-82. We'll stick in the same timeslot. Or maybe "Hotline"?

And silly me, I forgot our KAAM and KLUV fans...add "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye.)"

BTW, Kinder will be in charge of the nightly "Boogie Check" and "Make it or Break It."

Hell that might work.

Throw some LL Cool J in the mix......I Need Love

Heck, Mike, I don't see any good old classic country there. What about some Elton Britt and some Gene Auterree?

Jay :-\

then on this station, you will also hear 50 Cent's "In Tha Club" played back-to-back with Jeannie C. Riley's "Harper Valley PTA". Followed by Scritti Polltti's "Perfect Way," and then it's time for "Inna-Gadda-Davida".

Whereupon "Missing You Now" by Michael Bolton with Kenny G on Sax will play, and...

Some Mantovani and Percy Faith ;D

(we need a Devil's Head smiley) :p

See? I'm on the right train of thought already!

It's a good start but...

Herb Alpert - The Lonely Bull followed by
Meri Wilson - Telephone Man and then some
Baja Marimba Band - Yellow Bird and cool down with
Sex Pistols - God Save the Queen

Yeah, I think we got something there.

You shouhld have inserted "My Ding-A-ling" from Chuck Berry, before Meri Wilson.

Oh wait a minute... did I just say that?

Mahalia Jackson & Kirk Franklin. (LLLLLOOOLLLL) How about Papa was a Rollin Stone (Temp's) and "A Change is Gonna Come" Sam Cooke. No jungle music on your list?
