A friend in need...

Give Randy credit...at least the first words out of his mouth weren't "You got the wrong man".

Benjamin Homel ?

I know. I brought this up on the other thread. I'd be Randy Michaels, too.

He faces the Judge/Magistrate, tomorrow?
Will Willie be the one standing beside him as he makes his appearance?
I haven't really been paying attention. Did he enter a plea as yet or tomorrow the first appearance?
Maybe he'll "stand mute". Maybe this will be an episode of Harrys Law.
I guess he could have gotten stuck, got all depressed and then got drunk.... Yeah, thats the ticket.

Next time you decide to get behind the wheel after having a few Christian Moerleins, Call A cab or get a sober driver. What's wrong with these Millionaires?

Its the same old story. While you are drinking, you don't know your own impairment. Then, your sitting in a swamp, somewhere.
Like a frog in a pot of water. He won't jump in a pot of hot water. You slowly turn up the heat.

Plus, the aging thing. I am pretty sure that its harder to stay in control, after drinking, the older you get.

The legal question? Were there any empties in or around the car? Did anyone see him drinking then getting behind the wheel?
Stand mute, let Willie do his job.

No one was hurt. Maybe its his first offense.

1. Randy should have left his vehicle where it was, and walked to one of the 5 or 6 motels that were within sight with his American Express card, and checked in.

2. Immediately called a tow truck to bring the car to the motel parking lot.

3. Slept it off.

Let's not bash Randy. All of us in radio are a little bit off the latch. What's that old saying about people in glass houses?

I don't think that there is too much Randy Bashing going on here. But, remember, drunk driving isn't to be taken lightly.
This could have easily been a wreck with a death or two.
