OK, folks it's time to get out of the sandbox on this whole WGST 9-12pm audition series, and about 1690am. The reason I say sandbox is that some of the comments lately have been downright churlish, petty, immature and childish, and the buck stops here. Now as many of the long time posters to this board can attest to, I ONLY delete posts when they are totally out of line or off-topic or are bordering on personal attacks. If this offends you and you think that I am censoring everything, I suggest the newbies to read the rules page which is located under navigation. Pay special attention to rules # 1, 2, 4 and 7. This is also a PRIVATE board, in which we as moderators who don't get paid jack squat but do it for the love of the business that we are or were in.

With that being said, has anyone really sat down and gave some serious thought about what GST is really going to do? When it all comes down to brass tacks and dollars and cents, they will either hire someone who is local and is already on staff or they will go back to the original lineup with Glenn Beck from 9-12pm as a lead into Rush. They will NOT fire the Kimmer, according to some of the supposed insiders on the board have been saying, because firing Kimmer would be like firing Scott Slade or Kirk Melhuish, there would be an incredible uproar from the community as well as from all of the charities that he works for. Plus once baseball season ends, 7-10 will be Randy Cross' show.
Now I am not an insider inside the building of death, but as a former programmer of an AM station, I knew what would best for the bottom line and that's all they care about in Cincy and in Oklahoma City.
One last thing to remember, after Glenn Beck who tried and failed to knock Boortz off his perch? The Regular Guys. Now you'll say that it was AM radio and they couldn't do their type of show, yadda, yadda, yadda, but if you are talented, like Larry and Eric are, you should be able to make a huge dent in Boortz' ratings.
Bottom Line folks, calm down, enough about fixed polls, people begging for jobs, and just plain insanity and just stop and think with some common sense what really will happen.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it<P ID="signature">______________
