Armstrong and Getty are the new morning show at 1460 AM and 101.1 FM KION, displacing the local morning host, who is staying on to do news during A&G. Any thoughts?

A&G pick up KION

The old KDON - 1460 Salinas -- now with a 4 tower DA and 10 KW -- covers more ocean and fish than they do people. But - it does cover Salinas with a good signal. As for who the morning jocks are -- who cares.
I have to agree with MisterGort... Who are they replacing ?????
I would be more interested in the 1340 AM at Hollister that is programming a nostalgia format than any of the 20 or so AM stations in the region that are programming the tired and old school junk as news/talk/sports/religion/spanish or asian progams. KDON 1460 was the number one rated station -- back in the old days. Now -- it is just another bottom feeding AM signal. Even if it be a more powerful 10 KW signal -- it is aimed out to the ocean.
I believe KOMY is a talk station once again

I think it's awful! Mark Carbonaro had a very engaging, family friendly, and relevant show. I was a faithful listener, but have given A&G a listen and am not impressed at all. They should have put A&G on the FM and left Mark's show alone. Very disappointed!
That would not be possible, as 101.1 FM is a translator and not its own station. I believe Mark is still on as a news guy
