A good place to definitely check out for FM DXing in the Louisville area is Floyd's Knobs, Indiana right across the river from downtown Louisville. Specifically along Skyline Drive. Elevation is around 1000' along that road and you can pick up quite a few signals from up there that you wouldn't necessarily be able to in the city. I'm not sure how much interference comes into play up there nowadays with IBOC/HD Radio present on so many signals now. Many of the area's TV and FM transmitters are up on the knobs, so interference MAY pose an issue...or it may not. It never used to be a problem when I found myself up there years ago (before the introduction of HD Radio). The outrageous number of translators nowadays may also limit you on some frequencies. Back in the early 2000's I couldn't believe how many Lexington signals I could get from up there! It was pretty cool.
