A Great Stunt for Liberal Talk Radio

The following is a great idea for liberal talk radio stations in Florida, with only two problems:

There are only two of them, and

They don't have much staff and I'd bet, no promotions people.

It concerns the decision by the DNC to "disallow" Florida's delegates over the scheduling of the primary, and of the major candidates to avoid Florida (except for fundraisers).

If I ran a liberal talker in a major Florida market, I would immediately...

Encourage my hosts to pour on the outrage, speaking not for the national or the state party, but for the millions of Democratic voters who are about to be left out in the cold...

Encourage callers to renounce their support of these candidates, maybe schedule a "bonfire" as a promotional event where they can toss paraphernalia from the Florida-boycotting campaigns into the flames -- great video opp

Stage pickets at any fundraisers for Florida-boycotting candidates (Democratic candidates still want Florida money for some reason ;))

Selectively have my locals break in to any national progressive shows on my station that seem to be taking sides against Florida -- maybe yell at them over the sat feed

Contact TV, newspapers and bloggers and encourage them to cover all the stuff going on in my LOCAL talk shows...

"But you're turning against your own!" some -- who don't get talk radio -- would say. They don't understand the role of conservative talk radio in many intra-Republican donnybrooks, including Schiavo, Dubai ports, Harriet Myers, and immigration reform.

Liberal talk radio will be as important to Democrats as to Republicans, when Democrats are just as afraid of liberal talk hosts as Republicans are of conservative hosts. It might also be profitable then, too.
