A guess on Boston 25-54s (no quotes)

I'm not quoting from Arbitron nor am I going to give rank or share guersses, just the order that I think that the 25-54s look these days:

WEEI, Magic, Oldies (or Boston 103-3), Kiss (without Matty they're toast), WBZ, Country (then at 99.5), Mix, WROR, WZLX and Mike. I still don't believe that anyone older than 30 could possibly listen to Jam'n, hence its omission by yours truly, but I could be wrong.

My only question is: how far off am I? ???

No guess, I've seen them. WMJX, WBUR, WBZ and Kiss108 are all jockeying for the top. Often they tie each other for the #1 or #2 slots, and the difference between #1 and #2 is 0.1 or less, so you could put those four in any order, really. WEEI is up there, too...but there's always a significant dropoff after the Sox's season ends. They'll be jockeying for #1 again come April.

On weekends in 25-54, WBUR blows everyone else away...especially 7-8am. It might be a smaller overall audience in the city, but they've got the lion's share of them.

The bigger question, of course, is how well are these stations billing? WBOS never does well in the ratings...usually around 1.0 to 1.5 aren't they?...but they routinely pull in obscene amounts of cash. I dunno how they do it, but they do...

will WEEI be jockeying anymore considering the move of the sox? that will be interesting to see if sox tlak can sustain their high ranking

WBUR is the "invisible monster" which - because of its non-comm status - was not mentioned by me at all. Include 'BUR, and it shoots all the way to #1 (or pretty damn close anyway).

Anyone seen the new 25-54 numbers that came out this week? What did WRKO do? Is there someplace we can find them on the internet?

Not that I know of. As far as I know, the only numbers published for public view are the 12+.

In the past there would be articles in the Globe or Herald talking about radio ratings--I'm not sure if
Clea Simon, etc., would be giving us info on the 25-54s there or if they're just doing the 12 +s we can
see online...

I used to look forward to the "Radio Tracks" column in the Thursday Globe.
But I no longer read the Globe (or Herald). Is this column still in the paper?

I could see JMN in the top 10 among 25-54. I would say around 15 or so listeners reach their 25th birthday every day.
For those who want rhythmic music there really is no other radio alternative.

Thanks for sending the 25-54 numbers. Can this be right? WRKO is getting pounded in the Fall trends.

Even Howie's struggling. WTKK was number 4 with Graham in afternoon drive and is number 3 with Severin.

Is this why WRKO is so desperate to get the Sox? Is that the Jason and Julie plan, to have a 3p-midnight radio station for six months a year?
