There was a little break in the FM DX "drought" here in Poughkeepsie this evening, with one new logging, and a few previously logged stations coming through. The opening was rather weak and unstable, and never really developed.
New:
WFLC-97.3 Miami FL "97.3 The Coast" at 7:04pm. Station faded just as they ID'd... I thought I heard "Coast" but I wasn't quite sure. A few minutes later they faded back in playing a song by DeBarge, and their website was streaming the same song (about a minute delayed). Florida #61. 1150 miles.
Between 5:20pm and 7:30pm, I noted the following previously-logged:
WCRJ (The River), WJIS or WHIJ (The Joy FM), and WAYF (Way FM), all religious, all Florida, all 88.1. Also, WPOW-96.5 Miami.
I'm hoping for some better DX Sunday! We're due!!! There seems to have been a lot more openings in Europe this summer than here in the US, and many of those here have been too far to the South to allow any DX here in the Hudson Valley.
