A little story about Variety...

Re: Christian JACK?!

Just thought I'd jump in here.

I work at a CBS/Infinity mainstream Hot AC in St. Louis, KYKY-FM, and we've done our own "Whatever Weekends" over the past couple of months in order to capture that identity in the listener's mind before someone flipped to the format here, which was done by Bonneville a few weeks ago with a pseudo-Jack format they've titled The Arch. They actually just transferred their data from their Phoenix station, which has done well. But...this is St. Louis. We'll see. It's nowhere near the style and quality of the real Jack stations. I've listened to Jack...The Arch ain't no Jack.

In the meantime, I thought you might like to see what we've done on a couple of our Sunday night Christian music shows when we've tied into the "Whatever Weekend" theme:

Absolutely. You could impress me with a hypothetical hour or two that featured a Whiteheart song or two; however, I'd then have to immediately ask what you'd put in the next 80 or 90 times you had to fill that slot. No way you could do it with even the teeniest bit of consensus.

This is exactly what personal record collections are for....

Re: TESTING THE THEORY

Oh man....tempo matters a whole bunch - it's a very large part of the perceived image of a radio station.....

Re: A little story about Variety...Re: Elzabeth

I can see that you really respect the fact that I will not up to discussing this right now due to the death of a Christian friend who committed suicide.
You can continue to argue to yourselves about the variety, at this moment I could care less. I care about my friends family who found her dead 2 days after she ended her life.
Again Thank you for respecting that my head is not clear at this moment and not up for debates.
