A New Appreciation for Randy Kollins

What is it with the weather people at KPHO? Did they spend too much getting Kent and Seeeen? Can't they find anyone halfway decent? Julie Durda (or whatever her name is) needs to go to Yuma and learn how to present the weather. The talent is horrible for a top 15 market.

To be fair, that video was from a student-produced & anchored noon newscast on Ohio University's WOUB-DT2 (Athens, OH), an Educational Community Access channel that's separate from their main PBS programming. They apparently use this channel for practice.

At least he shaved before his appearance, unlike the guy on Channel 15's 6 PM newscast last night. ;D
 
What I don't understand why Kollins only works Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Did Kent and Seeeen soak up so much $$$ that those are the only days KPHO can afford to pay Randy?
 
It's a safe bet that Randy and the traffic girl will be relegated to the bench when Meredith finds Jeff Kelly's replacement for the AM show.
But knowing how some corporations work, that could be a week from Feb, 2008.
