A New Cable company....

A little while back, someone posted about a new company that's only in 6 markets including San Fran. There rates were cheap and they were to compete eventually with Comcast. Do you know who they are? It was posted on here no too long ago.

Sezmi looks interesting, but I notice that Premium cable channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.)are not available, and they carry only 23 cable channels. For example, FX and AMC are notably missing from their line-up. And it looks like all On-Demand programming would include an additional pay-per-view fee. Except for new theatrical movies and a few big-ticket sporting events, all On Demand programs are now free with Comcast.

So given my viewing habits - mostly cable channels, some HBO, and a lot of On-Demand - I'd probably end up paying as much or more per month for Sezmi than I do for Comcast.

It's worth keeping an eye on though -their line-up could improve.

Isn't Sezmi some kind of wireless cable service? I think they used the digital spectrum of OTA channels and you need an antenna and internet connection to get the programming.

It says on their website that the have selected most watched cable channels. For news, they show MSNBC.
Well in San Francisco MSNBC is probably the most popular news channel.

This sounds a lot like the "crappy" cable that hotels usually offer. I guess it's something they're thinking of adding in homes now.
