A New Format For Seattle Radio

Greetings, My name is Joe Bryant and I am the Radio Instructor at Mercer Island High and the GM of KMIH 88.9 and 94.5 FM. I have some exciting news regarding the launch of a new project the students and I have been working on.
Beginning Thursday March, 10th Hot Jamz Seattle becomes KMIH Throwback Thursday. Every Thursday from noon until midnight you'll hear great music from a variety of genres from 1955-2005. Its a fun format that ranges from Sinatra to Soundgarden, from Elvis Presley to Elvis Costello.
There will also be many special guests joining my students to tell stories of how the music was made. Alan White of Yes and John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band will guest on the "Dinner With Leah" show on 3/17 at 6:00 PM and Santana Drummer Michael Schrieve visits the studio to join Leah on 4/21.
I think this is going to be a great teaching tool AND fun to listen to. Freeform Radio returns to Seattle this Thursday! (at least for twelve hours a day)
In Seattle and on the Eastside listen at 88.9 or 94.5 You can also tune in worldwide at www.hotjamz.org .
Tell your friends and also go "like" our Facebook Page "Throwback Thursday" and make a request!
Cheers! Joe

Great way to expose the students to innovation ... and your listeners to music that they may otherwise never hear. Good luck with the project! I'll definitely check it out!
