A new pirate on 103.3

We will all know in less than 90 days when the FCC - EB publishes the action.

On Thursday afternoon I noticed the downtown pirate back on 103.3 with what sounded like Caribbean rap.

Gets out much better than the low power station on 98.7 at Pueblo High School. Neither station is good for more than a few miles.

Yes 103.3 is back. A note to the operator.......Will you please just die? At least Limbo put out something creative. You are Putting out Bipolar B.S. Get a hobby like bird watching, Hike Sabino, Join a support group.

(I do all that and I'm much better now...)

hey Bob,

Just call the FCC in San Diego... The rest will take care of itself.

Hey, Night Crawler...

"A pirate in Tucson, AZ on 103.3 fm found to be interferring with Tucson International Airport tower and approach frequencies" - 2 weeks ago Radio World magazine. ;D It won't be much longer...

FYI, The station/signal has not been Enaminating/Broadcasting. And If it were, The 60db contour is at least 3 miles from the airport because of the reduced power that did broadcast. And when powered up, there is no detectable Interference on any channels above 108 MHZ after 15 feet from the actual antenna, RF testing indicates less noise harmonics 15 Feet away than received from KRQ a mile away from the antenna on the mountain. (Yes i do go hiking). 3 different tests from 3 different Meters.

MR SPIEKER, who allegedly tracked a 94.3 North of the Tucson mall no where close to the actual signal that was broadcasting from my house, I believe is to be just gossip to create debate/conflict. I'm a Jew as this thread insinuates, so SHOW THE PROOF. I am not some Pirate with no concerns of the rest of the world dude. I value the airports communications contrary to your belief. And for the few people such as yourself who dislike the music content, there's a little thing on every radio called a dial. Use it.

And sir with all your respect to your tag line; **(All unattended pirates will be shot and urinated on upon sight.)** by the way, only animals (dogs specifically) proceed to urinate in places other than the bathroom.

Apparently this guy has no clue that there is no "MR. SPIEKER" on this board nor in radio at all. And appaerntly believes that this "PSUDONYM" of is actually a real person.

"justcallmebob" hit it right, I actually feel bad because the schmuck actually needs psychiatric help.

Folks,
If this guy wants a radio station so bad maybe he should give into an internet station. Nobody would have a single word to say then.

Brooklyn Pirate Draws $10,000 Fine
WASHINGTON -- August 11, 2008: The FCC has issued a $10,000 forfeiture
order to Jean Idalbert for operating a pirate station in Brooklyn, NY.

More than likely it was $2000 for operating an unlicensed station, $4,000 for having no public inspection file and another $4,000 for having no EAS (Emergency Alert System) equipment. Our pirate operator needs to let the public know where his public inspection file is located. It should contain a list of public issues and how the station addresses those issues. Nothing riles the FCC more than EAS and public inspection file violations.

Our pirate also needs to explain how how goes about recruiting women and minorities.

here is a new one.... (insert "cops" theme here)

;D

Police bust Florida pirate.
Detectives in Wilton Manners, FL arrested a 23-year-old... Constantinos Rigalos for allegedly operating an illegal radio station.

The Miami Herald printed that Rigalos had been broadcasting on the 103.9 FM frequency and using the name DJ Kosta when a West Palm Beach, FL station tipped off police.

The Detectives seized the equipment, and Rigalos is in a county jail, with bail set at $2,000.

Sources say that the illigal operator will face federal, state, and municipal fines nearing $80,000.00 in US dollars.

:'( Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
