A new show

Can it happen?

Sure, anything is possible.

Only difference between you and me is that I don't see it right now.

Down the road?

We'll deal with that...down the road
The aforementioned article from @TheBigA suggests that Salem wants to actually be very proactive on their financial picture unlike iHeart and Audacy. For Salem, having a steady amount of cash flow is clearly more vital than having stations in their preferred formats.

We'll see.

Like I said, I'm just not as bullish about that as you are.

I went to the site to read this article. I saw a number of markets covered, and then pressed "Continue". At that point, I got a (supposed) Microsoft warning that my computer had been frozen, that I needed to call a certain (strange) number to get it unlocked, among other warnings. Just letting everyone know.
That happens to me a lot. It's a scam. I just close out of internet and go back in. Sometimes it is necessary to go into task manager and end the task.

It's also a high-band AM that hasn't been relevant in about 20 years, and before that, hadn't been a ratings getter since... 1981? If that?? They did okay with oldies but eventually fell off a cliff by 1987.

Relevant Radio absolutely could buy such a signal, it fits their general station portfolio and Salem has sold stations to them before.

A Catholic talk radio "format war" in Cleveland between 1260 and 1420? That would be interesting to see, who wins. I wonder if both EWTN Radio and Relevant Radio affiliates manage to happily coexist in some markets?

I think they have

Relevant is more lively and tries to attract people outside their flock. Their on air presentation/overall sound is fairly liberal (in production value, not in ideaology or opinions) ..

EWTN is very preachy to the choir, conservative and milquetoast-y

Talking about different religious formats like we used to talk about Drake versus Hot Hits!
im not a practicing catholic or christian.. im a man of faith, one might say.. family has history in the cahtolic church, its what they practiced.. but ive never attended in my adult life. a friend/mentor was the morning host on Relevant radio for a few years so id listen now and then.....

It's now the case in Middletown, Ohio, where WPFB 910 (locally-owned EWTN affiliate) and WNKN-FM 105.9 (Relevant Radio-owned) now co-exist.
