A new station in San Antonio?

KYRQ-FM is now simulcasting on KFLZ-CA 87.75 mHz. I noticed the station today, and people on it are announcing the new signal, apparently 105.9 will break from the simulcast and change soon.

Another update - KYRQ's been off the air for a good while now, probably a couple weeks or even almost a month. My guess is that the Radio Oasis group doesn't want it anymore after moving to 87.7, which provides them with a better signal into San Antonio. Radio Locator shows nothing new since April 20, 2011.

Maybe KEDA will pick it up for an FM simulcast? Or they could be having huge tech problems.

More bad news for this station, the website's gone. http://www.oasisradio.tv/
And so is the audio stream. Now their only outlet I know of is at 87.7.

But that thing's probably running something past it's licensed power, I've received it all over in different parts of town.

For anyone who wants to know...
They didn't close their site, they changed it. The new one is www.RadioOasisTV.com (strange URL IMO), and they're streaming on it too.

And their page still says "90.3"! Do they not know it's been down this long?
If they are done with that channel the Claro guy might as well simulcast KEDA on it until he finds another FM with better coverage.

He can't air KEDA's programming on 90.3 because its a non-comm station. He wouldn't be able to air commercials on KEDA if he did that.

Update I just got back from Radio Oasis staff.

Dear Kevan,
Thank you for inquiring about 90.3 FM. It has been off the air due to some major technical problems. We hope to have back on the air by next month.

Guess we'll just wait and see, but it's good they're coming back and keeping 90.3 after all. :)
