A NOTE ABOUT ALL-CHRISTMAS FORMATS

As I am listening to several stations playing all Christmas music, I noticed that some AC stations I listened to used the jingle package designed for the X-Mas format from other companies than the original ones used for the regular format. For example, a station out of Charleston, South Carolina regularly used ReelWorld for its regular imaging, but the Christmas cuts played on that station were from a custom package from TM Century. Another situation is that B101(WBEB Philadelphia), which also uses Reelworld package, is using the package from either JAM or TM Century for X-Mas. The same thing for my AC station in the Scranton area, which always used the JAM Christmas package since the early '90s. Ironically, the former Sunny 104.5 in Philly always used the Reelworld package, even for the X-Mas tunes.

Since many jingle companies have their own Christmas cuts for sale, why is such stations tempted to stay with the old imaging?
