A PD wanted for WSOX, Oldies 96.1?

A recent posting on a commercial job site lists the need for a program director for WSOX, Oldies 96.1. I thought the merry-go-round had ended at this station with the unjustified firing of Bob Rudy? Evidently not. :(
 
Blues Man, you are most likely a trouble starter. There is no merry-go-round as you so put it. Dave Anthony has accepted a PD job in a bigger market near his home in Pittsburgh. There is no scandal here, sorry to disappoint.
 
Any idea what the pay range would be for such a position? How's the rest of the company?

Just checked the Froggyland website...there are actually four frequencies involved in their simulcast.
 
So, Real_Radioguy...was I incorrect in the firing of Bob Rudy? You seem to want to disagree with people on this site just to be disagreeable, unless I'm mistaken from your previous postings. My statement was for information. Apparently you seem to want questions or info phrased on this location in a manner of your choosing.
 
Yes you are wrong. And I will not (and can not) elaborate anymore than that. There are situations that can not be discussed. The way I see it, you probably interviewed with WSOX and was turned down and you now hold a grudge. The Bob Rudy case should be dropped. There is much more to this that is inside information that WILL NOT AND CAN NOT be discussed. I will not get into a pissing match with you either just because you seem to think that you know what's going on. Trust me, you don't and neither do I know the complete story and to tell you the truth...I don't want to know the whole story. I don't need to know the whole story and neither do you.
 
It seems as if the only person who is taking the firing of Bob Rudy with grace is Mr. Rudy himself. With his positive outlook on life, he has held back from replying to the constant demands to "forget him" --- in part instigated by Mr. Greg Stucki.

Well, it's not that easy. You can't just say "enough" and demand discussion about a talented broadcaster cease. This is a forum in which people share different opinions. And if the facts aren't laid out, speculation insues. If WSOX wants to shut up it's on air talent, fine. But don't demand the silence of people at this website.

It's a shame that "real radio quality" is disappearing from SOX. From cutting already short songs even shorter...to talking over them without being able to "hit the post"...to firing such fine talent -- what's next?

I'm done with the subject. Case closed. Bob's a good and decent guy and I like to think I am too. You guys are reading WAY too much into the situations.

You ARE kidding, right? 29K for a PD gig in York? Our mid-day guy makes more than that in market #200+...
 
And, the person they wanted started the job this week out of Cincinnati. Evidently, the man needed a job and some money! Cumulus is not the old Susquehanna. They're along the same lines as Clear Channel. You can read between the lines on that. :-\
