A Plan for a New National TV Programming Service Dedicated to News

KSHB is NBC/KMCI owned by Scripps. No Major Station in KC has a News Channel as a digital Sub channel yet.
KSHB is also owned Scripps

And if the rumor mill is correct, KDVR (And likely KWGN as well) are both headed to Fox (With the Fox network moving to KWGN as a result) as the ownership cap will likely force Sinclair to sell them EVEN THOUGH Sinclair didn't own a station in Denver prior to the merger with Tribune

That leaves only Newsy at the only one in town. Problem with that right now is KMGH isn't carrying it on ANY of its subs because it's having to carry KZCO-LP (Azteca America) on the only available sub. Until they shed that, Newsy won't be available OTA in Denver as I don't see them dumping LAFF TV for it
