A prayer for Kathi Goertzen...

I have never ever seen Jean Enersen loose composure on TV - for any story, any time. Absolutely incredible that her fiercest competition for over 30 years brought her to tears. Really says something about both of them.

I, too, noticed that Jean lost her composure. Having family members in journalism, they often put aside their "affiliations" after work and are actually friends outside of work.

It's still difficult to imagine Seattle news without Kathi Goertzen :'(

JEERS to KCPQ yet again, the top story was the Texas A&M shooting.

Yet another shining example of Tribune's local "journalism" :p

Rest in peace Kathi. A lovely, courageous women. She will be missed.

I listened to the bits and pieces KOMO 1000/97.7 provided of Kathi Goertzen's celebration memorial service at Fisher Plaza. Dan Lewis and Connie Thompson of 4 were there, as well as Kathi's daughters Andrea and Alexa, and her husband Rick as well as other friends and family. It was wonderful [and a bit sad] to hear the service. Yes, there were some funny moments throughout.

You can see the service on komonews.com, there is a link to see both part 1 and 2 of Kathi's service at Fisher. God bless her and RIP.
