a question about news coverage on Arizona shooting.

i heard another newscast mentioning the shooting in Arizona and it mentioned the congresswoman shot.

where is the mention of the federal judge killed?i listen to newscast after newscast and it is like he never existed.

What were you listening to? Both have been prominently mentioned on newscasts I've seen and heard, although to be fair, most of those newscasts have been in Arizona. But most websites I've seen have mentioned both Rep. Giffords and Judge Roll. Giffords, being a member of Congress, is far more well-known than Roll, so she gets most of the attention.
 
She's also still alive, so of course there will be updates on her condition. Maybe in the first day or two, the judge could have gotten a little more coverage, but hindsight is 20/20.
 
There was plenty mention of Judge Roll right from the git-go here in AZ. In fact, Giffords, Christina Green (the 9-year old girl) and John Roll were the three most often mentioned in every newscast. Recently, the others are getting air time as their funerals and/or memorial services are held.
 
over here and in the news on the hour on stations here from the beginning it has been just her of the two.thats why i asked.
