A Question About Presenters

I have a very valid question and want honest answers.

I've had some people here in the USA tell me I don't sound good and I'm a horrible jock.

However, I've had several Programming Controllers,Presenters, etc from overseas tell me I have a good voice and sound good...

Why do you think that might be the case?

Paul....

I (belatedly) answered your question about approach to the oldies format U.S. versus UK.

I'm in the UK at least once a year and have listened to quite a bit of radio there over the years. Accents aside, I don't see much differences in the voices or professionalism, etc. of on-air talent. Major market quality here would in all liklihood translate to major market quality there and vice versa.
