A question regarding NASCAR TV coverage for 2007

I know that having the entire schedule on one channel is too much to ask but anyway that we can get the same announcers for all the races?

I'll be happy if the bloody non-sport gets off of NBC. I get pissed off when I tune in for news and see idiots wasting gas.

I thought I read somewhere that ESPN had the NASCAR contract for next year.

ESPN/ABC does have a new contract with NASCAR, which will replace NBC. The way the schedule breaks down next year is this:
Daytona-Lowes (May) Fox/Speed
Dover-Pocano (July) TNT
Indy-Homestead ESPN/ABC...With ABC having all 10 chase races

Fox has announced they will keep their same announce crew. ESPN/ABC recently announced their announce crew as:
Dr. Jerry Punch - PBP
Rusty Wallace - Color 1
Andy Petree - Color 2
Allen Bestwick - Lead Pit
Krista Voda - Pit
Jamie Little - Pit
Mike Massaro - Pit

TNT has not announced their entire crew...but has said that Bill Weber and Wally Dallenbach will both be in the booth. Also remeber that ALL Busch races will air on ESPN...with basically the same crew as their Cup schedule.

Do people like you really have to chime in with a dumbass comment like that? The man asked a legitimate question. I could say hockey is a waste of water. All you see is people going back and forth beating each other up.

The argument for: since there's only one Nextel Cup race per weekend, and not a whole slew of Nextel Cup races, it would be feasible for one crew to hop from network to network over the course of the season. It's not like the World Series or the NBA finals has different crews for each of its games...

The argument against: it's not like other televised sports maintain one crew that hops over several broadcast networks covering one sport ... you're not going to see the ESPN announcers calling a game on Fox, or vice versa.

Under Bill Webers new contract, he is not allowed to appear on any other network that broadcast NASCAR. I think the only person who will do double duty is Matt Yocum because right now it works for both FOX and TNT, and the same is expected next year. Havent heard if he will still be on TNT, but he most likely will be.

You forgot ..ESPN/ABC NASCAR host...
BRENT MUSBERGER!!!
